Journalist and Author Susan Berfield will share insights about her book
“The Hour of Fate: Theodore Roosevelt, J.P. Morgan and the Battle to
Transform American Capitalism” on May 6. Selected by Amazon editors as
one of the best of 2020, Berfield’s book takes us back to when President
Theodore Roosevelt and Banker J.P. Morgan battled in the courts to
determine the balance of power between government and big business.
Susan Berfield is an award-winning feature writer and investigative
reporter for Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg News.
Dr. H.W. Brands, History Professor and Jack S. Blanton Sr. Chair at the
University of Texas at Austin, will act as moderator.
